I have dedicated a significant portion of my career as a senior manager in the dynamic fields of food and hospitality, in the most popular tourist destinations around the country. This experience has allowed me to engage with diverse clientele and develop a deep understanding of the industry's unique challenges and opportunities.

After working for others, I harnessed what I’d learned throughout my career, and pursued my dream of owning a Bed and Breakfast and a small farm. As a single mother on one income, to say this was challenging, is an understatement. I spent three years searching for the right opportunity and financing, facing many obstacles along the way. My tenacity and perhaps some naivety kept me focused and moving forward. Eventually, my son and I landed in stunning Northern Michigan, ready to start our “Hallmark” life filled with warmth (and snow) and adventures.

We quickly became a widely recognized inn in the regional area, winning multiple prestigious awards. We were known for our farm to table, chef prepared breakfasts, our warm hospitality, and our pristine accommodations that offer a perfect blend of comfort and luxury.

And what I noticed right away was the significant interest people had in the general day-to-day life of an inn owner. In particular, how I became an inn owner and how someone who also dreams of a living the B+B life can effectively reach their goals. I found myself frequently offering solicited advice and insights about the journey, sharing the challenges and rewards that come with this unique job.  

I soon realized that I could effectively utilize all of my extensive knowledge in the diverse fields of hospitality, drawing upon my experiences as a chef, as an innkeeper, and as a property manager, to assist and support others in their endeavors.
